The Municipal Government of Bustos, Bulacan (“we,” “us”) respects your right to privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data you share with us, in compliance with Republic Act No. 10173 (the Data Privacy Act of 2012), its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and the issuances of the National Privacy Commission (NPC).

• Information you provide — name, address, contact number, and email when you use our e-services, subscribe to advisories, submit a request, or contact us.
• Automatically collected — non-identifying technical data (browser type, pages visited) used to keep the site secure and improve it.

2. How we use your information

• To deliver the municipal service or respond to the request you made;
• To send public advisories, event notices, or updates you subscribed to;
• To comply with legal, regulatory, and audit obligations of a local government unit;
• To secure our systems and prevent fraud or abuse.

3. Lawful basis

We process personal data on the basis of your consent, the performance of a task carried out in the public interest, and compliance with our legal obligations under the Local Government Code (RA 7160) and related laws.

4. Sharing & disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the government agencies or accredited service providers necessary to fulfill your request, and only to the extent required — bound by confidentiality and this notice.

5. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose it was collected for, or as required by law and the National Archives records-retention schedules, after which it is securely disposed of.

Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to be informed, to access, to object, to rectify, to erasure or blocking, to damages, and to data portability. You may also lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).
