A historic riverside town in the heart of Bulacan — birthplace of the beloved minasa, gateway to the Angat–Bustos Dam, and a community moving boldly toward a progressive future.
Once part of the town of Baliuag, Bustos became a distinct municipality on January 1, 1917 through the efforts of its civic-spirited citizens. Cradled along the Angat River, the town is celebrated as the Home of Minasa — the crisp cassava cookie woven into Bulacan's heritage — and comes alive every January with the vibrant Minasa Festival. Today, Bustos blends its proud history with forward-looking public service across its 14 barangays.
